Grace University Men’s Basketball proudly welcomes Jovan Young as our new Graduate Assistant Coach.

A former starting point guard under Coach Bean and Coach Coleman for the past two seasons, Jovan already understands the system, the standard and the expectations. Now, he returns in a new role, bringing the perspective of a recent collegiate player to a young Talons roster featuring 10 freshmen.

The Mount Vernon, New York native finished his career with more than 60 collegiate games played and became the only player in NU history to compete in all 11 NCAA Division I games during his junior and senior seasons. He earned two SWS All-Conference First Team selections and was twice nominated for NCCAA West Region All-American honors.

Jovan also played an integral role in one of the greatest victories in program history, helping the No. 6 seed defeat the No. 1 seed in the SWS Conference Quarterfinals and advance to the school’s first-ever semifinal appearance.

As our Development Team Coach and Player Development Coach, Jovan will lead the next generation while providing invaluable on-court support to our top team.
